To begin with, I really loved how the program went. Introducing us to the main important things regarding the interview and then testing us by a real one. The mock MMI we had was perfect. Examiners were totally professional and honest. I have benefited so much.  At the end, it was really worth it. Even though it was focused on medical students, I would definitely recommend it to dental students.

The Manchester interview course was fully booked and that is no wonder, because of what I have seen on that day. The tutor simplified  the systemic approach to answer the controversial questions in a funny way so it sticks your minds. Furthermore, the tutor took us on a nice journey from the establishment of the NHS to how it works nowadays. This course gave me invaluable insights and I feel more confident now.

1st Year Medical Student, University of Manchester

The help I received throughout my application ensured that anything and everything I did was like second nature; this was especially evident to me in aspects such as the admissions tests and interviews. Since these components of medical admissions are absent from the normal education system, practising with people who had been through the process successfully ensured I had the same tools to do the same. Since my personal tutor was a current medicine student, my knowledge on current medical affairs was boosted in a way no teacher from my school could have done. It also allowed me to prepare for the varying styles of interview that medical schools use to distinguish between applicants. Due to this fantastic experience I got 4/4 offers from Cambridge University (Downing College), UCL, Kings College London and Queen Mary. I would thoroughly recommend anyone wishing to apply to medical school to use the MedicHut. to ensure you are successful!

As a graduate, not knowing where to begin with my medical school application I stumbled across Medichut. From the initial enquiry the professionalism was impeccable. The feedback given for my personal statement was constructive and helpful ensuring I received offers for interviews. The interview preparation was excellent, starting with the content of the lessons which greatly increased my knowledge of the process and how to succeed. The mock MMI circuits ensured I was well equipped for my actual MMI interviews, all the techniques I had learnt came in handy. I am greatly indebted to the tutors at Medichut, because of them I am now on my way to the medical school I’ve wanted to attend since the start of Sixth Form. If you have the chance to take part in any of the Medichut courses do not hesitate.

The course was very useful, it taught me how to fully prepare myself for a medical interview with work stations to complete the section and gain back feedback as well as talking to the tutors. Overall I recommend this course if individuals are keen to study medicine at University and more.

Year 12 student

From the structure of the day, to the teaching of the class - I enjoyed every aspect and found the day hugely rewarding! I learnt a lot that will help me in interviews and prevent me from making easily avoidable mistakes. It also helped me to formulate a better structure to my answers, which I know will help me to stand out. The feedback from the MMI and each assessor was also brilliant and very detailed in order to help me perform my very best in any real interviews. I found the teachers and the MMI panel to be very kind and helpful, which helped relieve my nerves during the practice MMI section. Overall, this session has boosted my confidence and I know that I will be able to apply what I have learnt from the MedicHut team to any MMI interview.

I found the medichut MMI course to be very helpful. The lectures given at the beginning ensured we had the relevant grounding and allowed us to apply the knowledge to the MMIs later. I found the feedback given at each MMI station to be very useful too and overall I feel much more prepared for interviews than I did prior to the course.

Everything I learnt through their services, enabled me to receive offers to which I owe a big thank you to the medic hut team. I received offers from York and Leeds! Also, I applied for a bursary which helped me attend the masterclass. The overall support from the team has been fantastic and I highly recommend their services to anyone who decides to study medicine.

I attended the Birmingham MMI Masterclass on January 11th 2020. It was an extremely helpful session which hugely increased my confidence in the real interviews - without it I would have struggled much more!

Two days after the masterclass I had my interview at the University of Plymouth, and it went a success! I received an offer and a good interview score. The practice stations I had at your masterclass came up in the real interview, so thank you for preparing me so well! Plymouth is the university of my choice so I am really excited about studying there.

Your help was greatly appreciated, and I would easily recommend your sessions to any aspiring medic.

I thoroughly enjoyed this MMI course as it gave me more opportunity to practice my interview skills, especially under exam conditions. I learned a lot from the feedback given and this gives me the chance to learn from this experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I would recommend for anyone to come to this if they need medicine interview preparation.

I really enjoyed the lectures in the morning and how informative they were, especially about the NHS and its founding and medical ethics. I definitely learnt new and very useful things. The variety of stations was also very good and useful, with some quite unexpected station questions making me think very hard. Overall I really enjoyed it and appreciated how informative and friendly the lecturers were!

The course was really really good, we can say more than good. I loved how they listen to us and came to Newcastle. I really appreciate their effort and how organised they are. They give us a lot of structures that was really useful and helpful. These structure will not be benefit for me just for the interview even when I will be a doctor in the future. To be honest I will recommend everyone for this course. Especially, the staff were so kind and helpful and love to listen to us. Thank you, thank you a lot. If I want to describe about you guys, one word can't be enough for you guys.

I told the lecturers at the beginning that I have no idea about the course. But eventually, I believe that I'm partially aware of it now. Some seminars were challenging but the majority of them were soft and went smoothly. If I would rate it, it will be very good and beneficial.

I had a lot of fun. Today's experience was an eye opener for me. I could learn a lot of information in a really short amount of time. Most importantly, the lecturer was so knowledgeable. He could deliver the information in new creative ways like the diamond shape.

I have really enjoyed todays course. I feel I have been provided with excellent advice for the interviews and questions that could potentially arise. The information was thorough and I think it will be very beneficial for my future. I've learnt a lot about the views and steps doctors should take when dealing with patients in order to protect them and provide quality care.

In this course, I learned the key objectives that are important in the interview. I didn't read or know anything about the interview before today so for me it was so helpful, especially the mock interview and the feedback that I got.

In the course today, a lot of information and ideas were given to students. Personally, it was very beneficial for me as I entered with no single idea about the MMI interview and got out with loads of information that was added to my knowledge. It may have taken a long time but it was worth it as it was very useful.

Prior to this course, I viewed the MMI to be daunting. This course has made me realise that it is all about the work I put into it. This motivated me to prepare and work on excelling in the interview.

Anonymous

This course has opened my mind and eyes to several techniques that would allow me to gather my thoughts. Moreover, not only were we informed about how we can go about planning our thoughts, but also the history of the NHS. This is a truly beneficial course, also putting the students in a practical situation to practice these techniques would generate the best results. Therefore, I am grateful for such an opportunity.

This course has benefitted me so much. I have learned many new things I haven't heard of before. NHS, for instances, is a great service founded after World War 2. Its principles are what amaze me the most. I also learned how to inform a patient with bad news using STRIKE. I also know now that following medical ethics is crucial for doctors. The diamond theory in my opinion is great when asked about a controversial situation. It consists of 4 parts: defining the situation, discussing both sides, and concluding at last.

This course was really indulging and intriguing. It gave me a good presentation and opening about the interview. I was really afraid before the interview, but now, I feel that I know more about MMIs. I feel like I know more about the health system in the UK and the world. In addition, putting students in practical activities and allowing them to experience the interview is a really beneficial thing. Thank you!

Interviewers and presenters were so friendly and motivated. Teaching acronyms and little strategies to help remember information was very helpful. In a short space of time, pretty much every topic in an MMI was covered, but was very detailed.

It's made me feel much more relaxed and less stressed over my interview. I would recommend this to anyone applying for medicine! Thank you!!

The MedicHut. Family

I thought that this was an amazing experience to learn more about the NHS and gain practice in MMI style interviews. I appreciated how all of the interviewers were strangers since I had never seen them before and everybody seemed to have good knowledge of the NHS and the stations they were interviewing at.  I do believe that to get better at MMI interviews you need to practice more and so the circuit we done was very valuable.

I know that if it wasn’t for the Bursary scheme I would not have been able to attend, and now looking retrospectively I would have been less prepared and informed for my future interviews possibly even performing worse and therefore not getting a place on the corse.

The timing and date of this event was perfect for me personally I have an interview in six days and so I would not have placed this event any earlier or later.

Everybody working here clearly had a massive interest in helping us and bettering our knowledge and understanding.

I have since received an offer from Hull University. I would happily recommend this masterclass to other people.

Firstly, I would like to give a big thank for the instructor, the other organisers and interviewers for their big effort.

Secondly, regarding the course, I found it really indulging and beneficial. I had almost zero knowledge in terms of the MMI interview, but eventually I learned crucial concepts about the interview. In addition, I learned about the health system in the UK and important guidelines that are followed here in the UK. Learning about NHS and hospitals, GMC and NICE guidelines refreshed my knowledge of rules regulation in England.

Everybody was nice and friendly. The instructor made a great presentation and gave us vital key points, which are important for the interview. Also, I liked the idea of giving us mock interviews, they really helped me to be confident and gave me a feedback about what I did right and wrong.

I would highly recommend the course to fellow students and others.
